Thank you for your interest in donating an artifact to the Asbury Park Museum. With the support of generous donors, our organization has been able to acquire a vast collection of artifacts, which will be preserved so that future generations can learn about Asbury Park’s rich culture and heritage
Because of limited storage and display space, not all artifacts submitted for consideration can be accepted. Also, once an artifact is accepted it is not guaranteed to be on permanent display. Some items will be held for rotating exhibits or research purposes. Each donation has to be reviewed and approved by the Museum Acquisition Committee that meets monthly, If you have an item for possible donation, please fill out the form below and someone will contact you shortly about the next possible steps.
In addition to preserving your historic objects it is important to preserve the history or story that goes with them. An historic item is just an object, if the story behind it is lost. Please write down any stories that go with your objects, including as much information as you have. Our curators can fill in the historical context. The important things are the details that are known only to you and your family.
